1. Maintenance makes unanounced visits to your apartment. I was in the shower and I came out and they were in my house about to go out onto the patio to do work. No prior notice. Not even a day's worth.

2. Sketchy neighbors. Many of the neighbors seem to have just come from public-housing, and are dirty, loud and act like thugs. It is not uncommon to have people blasting rap-music in the parking-lot at 3am on a weeknight, with people wearing long white t-shirts, and loud arguments outside your window.

3. They try to mix-it up a bit, so it looks better suited to yuppies, but this is just a show. After living here for 2 months, you think you're living in Baltimore City Public Housing.

4. The grounds are nice, but that's not a saving grace when your residents are recovering thugs, or working-class single-parents with thugs, or thug-wannabees as children.

My thought is that this person might not like people that aren't have her "standard." I lived at Fallstaff for about a year until I had to transfer jobs or I would have stayed. I'm unaware of any of the issues this person is describing. The maintenance people are some of the nicest people I've encountered and really work hard to make it a nice place to live. The apartments are HUGE and near everything. Don't get me wrong this isn't paradise but it isn't "thugged out inner city" either.
