I currently live here (summer 2008) so this is a current review.

I will be leaving as soon as my lease is up! Loud neighbors, strange requests from management at times, occasional poor customer service, the apartment was dirty when we moved in, in places the walls and doorjams were damaged, there was no lock on the back door when we moved in, they rarely mow the grass, the kitchen is horrible. When neighbors have parties (every weekend it seems) it can be hard to find a parking place anywhere near the apartment. There are always people hanging out outside after dark, and some really like to eye you as you walk by. One of my favorite episodes here was my storage unit getting broken into and my stuff was put outside (best I've been able to find out is it was by staff thinking it was vacant, but with stuff in it). I live in a lower level apartment and I've noticed water stains, I can see a seam on the ceiling, and sometimes there are musty smells. The laundry room is usually dirty, sometimes flooded, and for the past month or two one of the dryers has been out of order with no sign that anyone is going to be fixing it anytime soon. Add to that in the 10 months I've lived here we've had mice, roaches, rats, and now another apartment in our building has bedbugs and we need to be treated for bedbugs.

For the privilege of dealing with all that, the rent is about 10% more than most comparable apartments in the area. Hmm, when the contract at another complex fell through it should have told me something that this was only one of 2 places I could find without some kind of waiting list.

On the positive side, the manager who was here our first 2 months was nice (with all the problems when I first moved in we were on a first name basis), mainanence does an adequate job (usually, though not always), and the apartments aren't the smallest in the area (but far from the biggest, just around average).

I can't wait to get out of this tenement!
