Wasn't terrible, but glad I moved.

We lived in Foxglen II for a few years when we first moved to MD.
When we moved in, we were told that the kitchen and bathroom linoleum would be replaced (it was pretty gross) and it never was.
They recently took all the astroturf off the balconies though, and didn't seem to have any plans about recovering them as of when we left in March.
It was a bad decision because there is a DEFINITE noise problem there and now it just helps everything echo.
You can hear your neighbors doing everything, anywhere in the apartment.
Including passing gas.
I wish I was kidding.
I never saw any kids in the front office unless they came in with a parent; the front office is a bit unorganized but I never had any serious problems with them (although they must have lived in Fox Glen I 'cause I never saw them outside of the office).
Our leasing agent, who no longer works there, gave us the wrong type of apartment so we couldn't get a pet, even though we specifically picked the place because they claim to be pet friendly.
You're supposed to live in a ground floor apartment to have any type of animal, but there was a family with a pretty huge dog that lived on the second floor of one of the apartments and let it out on the balcony to bark at all hours.
Don't know if they've changed their minds or if those people just didn't care.
We had a few problems with things like leaks and they were fixed pretty much on time and properly.
The appliances are on the older side and the gas stove has no emergency gas shut off--our pilot light would go out a lot and the apartment would STINK.
There was a huge biting ant problem where we lived.
The windows aren't very well insulated and in the winter you freeze.
You can also hear everything in the parking lot clearly even with the windows closed.
Smells pass through the air conditioning vent, so you can practically taste other tenants' dinner.
The parking spaces are very small so if you like opening your car door the whole way, you're going to have problems.
We also had some loud and scary neighbors.
I had to call the cops more than once because of security issues with various guests of tenants but nothing was ever vandalized or stolen.
The living room was huge, the kitchen is pretty tiny and the cabinets/counterspace is lacking, but the bathrooms are a good size, there are lots of closets, and it still isn't bad for the price.
I know the place we live now is less noisy but I definitely miss that huge living room.

I don't know if i totally agree with this rating because yes the apartments are big but they offer nothing. I would really like management and I mean the owners to really review theser rating because it seems like they are being written by friends who do not live at fox glen and staff members. The owner, president and vice president should really look into the office staff. We went yesterday to discuss some things that were wrong with our apartment and once again no one answered the door. But we found out that the actual manager was there and we think it's ignorant that she doesn't open the door. There was a sign up that said we will be back at a certain time and we came back to find no one in the office again. Then we call and of course we got no answer. I think the owners are so desperate because they hire anyone. If they really look into things they will see what us residents are talking about. Why was the managers child sitting out the window? See my husband and I see everything from our balcony so that's why we seen that. If any manager, vice president or owner sees this message please crack down on her the manager. Now Valerie is the person my husband and I see all the time. Wonderful woman a little distracted at times because you can tell she is doing too many things at one time. When we go in and we ask for the manager Valerie will tell us that she is either at a appointment or she won't be in that day. Yes this same message is being typed up and sent directly to corporate because we as a community are really tired of this and we pay a lot of money to live here and we expect excellent service.

How true! Especially the part about "HEARING YOUR NEIGHBORS DOING EVERYTHING". OBSCENE! I often watch new tenants arriving and feel almost sad for them. Nice apartment, great space but really horribly constructed.
