I honestly believe that out of the HUNDREDS of apartments that Fox Hall has, a select few can really complain about major issues. I have many friends that rent from Fox Hall and we are all very content with the community, rental office, and maintenance. The office staff is always nice to me when I go into the office. They are very down to earth and cordial. Not stuck up or rude at all, as a matter of fact they always have fresh baked cookies in the office for residents and people interested in moving there. They have an activities coordinator that provides events for the residents (kids and adults) to participate in. How many places do you know of that offer things like that' I cant think of any. Granted, we do have to pay a water bill, it is only like $14 a month. I would rather pay that than a $100 Gas bill, since the Management company takes care of that for you. Plus there is a FREE laundy room on each and every floor of your building. Also, the maintenance staff is really good. In the year that I have been a resident there, I have only had 2 maintenance issues: One being that my bathtub drain was clogged and my AC stopped working. Both issues are things that can happen anywhere. I would much rather the maintenance guys come out the next day (which they did come the same day for the AC and the next day for the drain) than to have to pay a plumber or HVAC company to come out while you take a day off of work to have them come anywhere between 8 am and 5 pm! After the mantenance guys come out and fix the problem, the manager calls to make sure you are satisfied with the work that was done. I mean, what more can you ask for from an apartment complex' It would be much different if these were $1100 luxury apartments, but you get spacious apartments in a convenient, beautiful community for a great price (not to mention that gas and laundry are free!!). I just dont understand why people who are renting act like they own the apartment they live in. Buy a house and you can have things just the way you want them. I love living at Fox Hall and will stay here until I decide to buy my 1st home.

How odd it is that this poster seems to boast everything Fox Hall Apartments promises when looking for perspective tenants hmmmmm. I can honestly say that after doing a cost analysis as far as housing if you are looking for specific geographics Fox Hall does fit the bill. However, there are some issues in this community of which I must disagree. First of all, I have never seen a water bill under $25 per month. Yes that is right per month. If you have lived in a home you know that is very high. So basically you are paying for your laundry, just not as much if you had to use coin operated machines. Second, yes, there is a community center and an activities director. However, the activities director was conveniently out on medical leave for the entire summer, thus no activities. I also know that there have been times when residents would show up for scheduled events to be disappointed when no one was there to host an advertised event. So I would advise a back up plan if you have blocked out that time frame on your calendar. Overall, Fox Hall is not a bad place to live. The residents for the most part are very friendly, the staff could use some pointers on etiquette, and they do a good job clearing snow and maintaining the grounds. Maintenance is hit or miss. I have good maintenance people and not so good. Rapid response time and repeated call incidents (guess it depends on the severity of the problem). But over all, it's not a bad place to live. The one problem I do have however is with this poster's comment about "Renters acting like they own the apartment they live in." That tells me right there this person is not a renter and has no business posting on this site. When I am paying $10,000 a year to live in a place, it is my home for the duration of the lease. As long as I live in a rental unit, adhere to the terms of my lease, and treat the place as if it were my own home, then I don't see a problem. Besides, when people act as if their apartments are their own home, they tend to take care of it more, and assist in creating an essence of comunity within the complex. What an absurd comment!

Jazz1221 I agree with you. I am a renter, and I work as a Leasing Manager in Baltimore. From time to time I go on this site to look at different apartment reviews and I get disgusted.

How pothetic of a comment from staff who works here! Unless you was in our shoes! Just shut the hell up because your comments is crap! Im sick of individuals like yourself who wanna praise this place when you surely are not in our shoes! So do all of us a favor and jump off a brigde or play in traffic! You surely don't know your tenants!

socolime, no matter if you work in the property managment field or not most of us are still renters and still know what its like whether you live or work at fox hall. especially if you work at fox hall you know what is really going on and you know how stupid some of the residents act over things that are in the process of being taken care of. but if you have such a big problem with renting an apartment why dont you go buy your own home and then come back and tell us how "perfect" everything is in your home. no matter where you live, no matter if you rent or own you will have issues and no things may not be fixed over nite but issues do get taken care of. at least living in an apartment you have the luxury of not having to pay for someone to fix any problems that you may have in your apartment, when you own your home you have to call around and pay big money to have someone fix the same issues that you would have here. as for staff commenting on this page or people having good comments about fox hall...maybe you should realize that this site is not only for people to complain over and over again about stupid ---- it is also for residnets/staff to voice their opinion on the good quality of living here and how pety some residents are when things dont go their way right away...get it through your head people you live in an apartment and things happen and can happen no matter where you live so maybe you should the maintenance staff time to do thier job before you start complaining about every little thing that goes wrong in your apartment!!!!!

wow... when i originally posted my comment, it was not to spark any type of controversey at all, it was simply to express how happy I am at Fox Hall. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I feel as though everyone comes to this website to ----- about things that are beyond any particular persons control. You all act like the leasing office deliberately causes maintenance issues in your apartment. Maybe if people would plunge their own toilet when they flush too much damn toilet paper down it or change their own light bulbs, maybe the maintenance staff could get to the real issues that need immediate attention. Come on people. I DO NOT work in the Fox Hall Leasing Office but I am a resident there. I do, however, work for another management company so I know what it feels like to be on both sides of the table. I apologize that you all are miserable and have nothing better to do than to complain about frivolous --------. Get a life and maybe you should jump off of a bridge or play in traffic so you can really have something to complain about! Or heres and easier solution.... Pack your ---- and move!!!
