Where do I begin. When I first moved in 3 years ago I thought it was the best place to live. Then I guess we got new management. Every year they jack the price and then take something away. First it was the free water and then it was the cable. This time around they are taking away the free heat and making the laundry rooms coined units so bye bye to free laundry. My apartment has flooded 4 times with other peoples fecal matter coming up in my tub...YES MY TUB!!!! Then last week I find out thay a CHILD RAPIST lives in the building next to mine. I have a 3 year old daughter and when I called in concern they told me to MIND MY OWN BUSINESS....maybe they hate white people I dont know but I think they do. They dont even do crimnal background checks on the maintenance men who have keys to your apartment. One time I walked in and a guy was in my apartment for NO KNOWN reason. and they always try to keep your security deposit...all my nieghbors had to fight to keep it. Also a woman was kidnapped right at her car in the complex and robbed and dropped off in the city ....check for it at wjz.com and search parkville and the story will come up. When I asked if they were going to warn people they said NOOOOOOOOOO. Nothing is new yet you pay the same price as all the other nice surronding apartments.

Dear Foxhall, though you are taking steps to better the area in which we live, (yes I currently live there) you still are overlooking one of, if not, the most important thing, CUSTOMER SERVICE, from your rental office AND your mntc. staff especially. Its something everyone expects and to be honest, we sorta pay for it on a monthly basis. We pay for things to be fixed in a timely manner. We pay for calls to be returned to us. For Christ sake we pay you your paycheck. The arguement you use about owning your own home is petty at best, I own a home and live here, so save it. I must admit, your mntc. team is 90 percent of your problem. i own a business and deal with issues everyday, and from an outsider sort of looking in through a window, you need to clean house ASAP. As far as making everyone secure, I dont think thats what the person is getting at. Really what you should have done at the very least, and what I think they (as in resident who work hard to pay your rent) were looking for was some sort of warning. A letter about the CONVICTED child rapist that now is a part of this community or the lady that was attacked walking to her car and literally kidnapped. You owned up to and achknoledged nothing, making people believe you simply dont care about us, just give me the rent and go away, that is what we see from you. Personally I have 4 issues in my apartment that have yet to be addressed, my calls are still not returned and nothing has been fixed. Par for the course it seems. Shame on you Erica (property manager) for allowing things to go so out of control, and shame on us (the residents) for thinking things would ever change with Fox Hall

Isn't it funny that I called and asked the office if they rented to convicted sex offenders and they said no. I sent certified letters to Erica, Michael Stark and individuals in the corporate office in NY about this and other major issues. Now, as off 4/23/08, that man is homeless. He changed his address to Fox Hall on 3/10/08. If other residents made the office aware of the situation, why did it take a month and half to resolve it? That really compromises the safety of the residents. I am having major issues with them, if you are please contact me at retrop81@hotmail.com. I may be taking legal action and I would like to hear about other issues tenants may have.

I love coming to this site and reading all the negative reviews about Fox Hall. I have been trying to tell people to stay away from this place for what seems like forever! Finally people are starting to see.. the office staff are rude, snotty ------- and Erica, the manager, is the biggest ---- on the planet. They dont care about you, your apartment, your car, your anything! And to top it off no one at the Home Properties office cares either. They just want you to sign a lease and pay your rent and keep your mouth shut so they can sit in that ------ office all day and go home at 6. So really, everyone do yourself a favor and pay a hundred or so more dollars per month. You'll get a nicer apartment and nicer staff and maintenance people with half a brain. RENT ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

Even when people let the office know of such people that live on property there is nothing that can be done if they are not listed as a resident, and when something like the lady being attacted happens there is only so much that is allowed to be said especially when there is an on going investigation. on most occasions the office knows less or the same as what the residents know, in order for residents to get the most accurate information they need to contact the police or watch the news. On top of that the office is not going to send out letters to each resident to scare them when as far as they knew the sex offender was not actually residning in the apartment, the police had a close eye on the situation that was the best that any one could do. if you own your own home then why are you living in an apartment and complaining about what isnt being done when you know that in your own home you are the one responsible for fixing everything...and paying a little more or a lot more in rent doesnt not mean that you are going to have a maintenance staff that is able to jump and fix everything at a drop of a hat. sometime contractors need to be called and when that happens then maintenance is kinda at their mercy for when things get done. and you cant pay more for a nicer staff people are who they are and frankly maybe people should think about the way they come into the office and speak to the staff and then wonder why they are being treated the way they do...its very simple see no matter who you are if you have someone who in disrespecting you you can only take so much before, well that person gets the same attitude back. as for retrop81 trying to get all residents to "gang" up on the management company isnt going to do you any good for the simple fact that no matter where you live you are going to come across many of the same issues..

I totally agree with the above anonymous response...maanagemt cannot do anything when it comes to notifying people about other "potential" residens..thats for the police to handle. Go to www.mdsexoffenders.com and look it up that way. Good luck...

This man is no where near homeless as I live on the same court and he is still here so no he was not thrown out or kicked out. He is still parading around the buildings and he has even made friends with the poor new nieghbor who has 2 kids!!! Now why am I going to step up and say anything when he will still be allowed to live there. If we all see him how the hell doesnt maintenance and staff not see hinm walking around and going in and out of his building all day everyday.
