I loved Foxhall when I first moved in. I thought Tony-My leasing agent was really nice. However, after staying there for a little over a year I realized that was a ploy to get you in. As most folks, I recent suffered due to the economy. It has been a stuggle paying my rent and I have communicated that to everyone including the property manager. Since it was beginning to be too much, I decided to brake my lease and move home with family. I gave them 30 days notice, but after the 20th day I recieved calls for jobs. Since I had 3 calls in one week, I was certain, that I was going to land a job. I called and spoke with colleen-Assistant property manager that I was going to stay. Keep in mind that was Aug 20th, I was set to move out Aug 31. Fast forwarding to September 3,I am still in my apartment, I called the office because I recieved a letter to renew my lease and I had questions about it. The leasing agent informed me that they had me on notice to vacate the property. I told Tony that I spoke with Colleen 2 weeks ago and told her I was staying. Colleen tells me well I cant stay, that my apartment has been rented and Everyday that I stay I would be charged monetary damages altough she was the one that I told previously that I was staying.... She told me I had to leave my apartment and the applicant didnt even sign a lease. I am still in my apartment, but I felt like colleen was trying to get me out of my apartment. I filed complaints with the better business bureau and with the housing authority simply because I felt the way the handled the situation was wrong. Fox is a great place, they have made a lot of renovations and the price is decent, but they really need to upgrade their leasing staff.... Colleen is a racist. I've many other run ins with her so have other people on the complex and its evident minorities can stay on the property as long as we dont have nothing to say.

You know, I was with you up until you made this a race issue. The people in that office are horrible to everyone, no matter white or black. And besides, the fact is that you put in your 30 day notice and once they get that they can rent the apartment to someone else. So, the fact that you were able to stay really isnt their problem... its yours!

Please never question my professionalism you sound like you are someone who works in that office. If I talk to someone in leasing and was told that I can stay and was never told to put it in writing then I dont see whats the use..... I put my experience with Fox Hall on here if you dont agree or you question my professional you can go to hell.... and I know that thats not professional to say but you dont know my sitution.... How is it that other people complained about this complex but you think that I'm unprofessional. I'm unprofessional and your a coward because you submitted your reponse anonymous

Always do everything by certified mail! Hope you got another job, just find another place or move in with family for a while. I agree with the other responder - they don't hate minorities, they hate everyone!

It seems you should have gone about your leasing situation in a better more professional way. You need to get things in writing. Common sense.
