I have read the most recent reviews for this apartment complex and can concur with certain points of each of them.
I have been living here now since Feb. 06 and my experience thus far has been more than satisfactory.
Parking is an issue. I luckily work M-F 8-5pm so I park on the street b/c the meters are off from 6p-8a and free on the weekends. I have had my car broken into once and nothing was stolen, but clean out your ride if you do plan to street park. You can also get an area pass and park for free all day if you don't want to pay the $125.
As far as the sketchy people mentioned in other reviews, get over it. If you want to live downtown in a city of 650,000 people, there are going to be winos, although I protest my wife going out by herself after dark alone. This complex is located in the cultural district ----borhood with plenty of restaurants/bars/shops so even at night there are people out.
Now the actual apartments: I feel the staff is friendly and helpful, and they are not into letting just "anyone" into the door. Pricing is a little expensive, but again you are living downtown less than 10 minutes from Federal Hill, Mt. Vernon, and Canton/Fells Point. Apartments are decent sized, utilities are included in the rent (nice), and there is a workout room and computer(adequate), washer/dryer (usually they all work well), and a 21st floor pool open Memorial to Labor day. We will probably live here for another 6-10 months just because we are outgrowing the place. We initially lived in Federal Hill in a row house for 2 months after moving from San Diego and Long Beach, CA, but this is one of the few areas with several apartment complexes to choose from.
Do your homework and make sure that you look at different areas of town. If you are 21-40 years old and want to live in the metro area, I would consider this area right along with Fells Point/Canton and Federal Hill
