Anyone who has rented elsewhere understands how great this place is

We have lived here for almost two years and are moving out only because we need more space. We are really going to miss it. First, we have never, ever, ever seen a bug or rodent, EVER. No roaches, mice, nothing! I can't say that about most places we've rented. Second, the staff will give you the shirt off of their back. They will even water your plants and feed your cat if you go on vacation. I don't have time to list all of the times I have been spoiled by them. And the building is SAFE. They won't let the pizza guy come up unless you say it is OK.
Yes, the rent has increased quite a bit (ours went up more than $100 when we renewed our lease), and that feels a little unusual. We think the place was underpriced when we moved in, though, especially considering the fact that utlilities are included.
I have read the negative review about the water and fire alarms and had to say something about that. The recent incident with the hot water being turned off is the first time that has ever happened without ample warning and it was due to extraordinary circumstances. There is a restaurant in the same building (Five Guys, a total bonus to living here). The restaurant's heating system malfunctioned on a Saturday, so they closed early. We were experiencing an unprecedented cold spell that weekend, and the restaurant's pipes froze and burst, flooding the lobby, hence the fire alarms, water problems, etc.

I have to agree regarding pests. In the 3 years I lived there, I never saw a single flea, spider, rodent, or any other unsavory creature.
