For those reading please know that this is coming from someone who is educated, has a good job, is originally from the subarbs, and does not like "ghetto mess"..so with saying all of that, Highland Village is a good neighborhood. You have your tennagers hanging out and kids out playing but besides that there weren't too many problems while I lived in the neighborhood. I lived there for about year in 2007 and I am considering moving back. Currently, my mother and 2 of my friends live in the neighborhood, all in different sections, and they all like it. Yes, the walls are thin because the places are old, but this is something that you can tell from the moment that you enter the neighborhood. If you don't want an older place either get a remodeled unit or move some place else. For the most part the grounds are clean and the maintenance responds relatively fast. It is worth the money and I highly recommend Highland Village to persons looking for affordable living. Happy Hunting!!

DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!!! You must work in the rental office or you have not been in the neighborhood on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There are no trash dumpsters so people put there trash out almost in front of my door. So I get to smell rotting trash 3 times a week. If you try to call the rental office there is no rush for them to return your call. But they will quickly put notices out and tell you they are planning to throw your things out. Sawyer Realty's biggest problem are the people they hire, I have lived in two of their complexes and unfortunately the staff all act like they own the place and are not real helpful when you needed them. Now some of the maintenance guys are really cool. But overall I would give Sawyer Realty a big fat F. There have been breakin's in some courts and the man wants his money back he had just moved in did they offer him another unit no they told him all they could do was call the police, ok, he can do that too. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!!

Highland Village sucks in a bad way. The roaches are unlimited. The staff sucks majorly. Stepanie calls herself the manager. She should be terminated on the spot. And that stupid bumpy face Melanie has the nerve to be the Regional . She lets people in with backgrounds. Drug dealers an so on. I would be afraid to live there another year.

I never had any serious issues. Not one roach, not one mouse...It is what you make and fortunately for me I never had to go to the office to do anything, but pay my rent, so I don't know the people that work in there! My mother and two close family friends live there and they have no problems. They keep a clean house and they mind their business!
