I made the quick and poor choice to move here to save money for college. At first it was ok, but between the mice literally eating through the walls and my ceiling leaking for about a year now, I m am going to pay a fee soon just to terminate my lease early. The mice are unbelievable, my haome is clean and clutter free but they still remain. I literally found mouse droppings in the stove. I had to call corporate before the came to get live birds out of my ceiling. I would not recommend this place to a rotting dog and as soon as i get my return next year im bailing. The neighborhood is so ghetto and no job having losers hang out from sun up to sun down. it is disgusting im embarrassed to even invite company over. oh yeah by the way if you lock your self out no one will come let you in you place on the weekend even if the rental office is open, so just be prepared to camp out in the streets that night. Just pray you dont get mugged. young ghetto kids are running free all the time as if the parents want them to turn uo missing and young teens are always getting shot. The majority of people who can stomach this place either have no choice or they are not fit for a successful society and belong bounded to these quarters. Dont worry about spending your money on entertainment out, there is enough domestic quarrels and ghetto brawls for you to go ahead and save your money.
DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!!! UNLESS YOU ARE ABOUT TO END UP END A SHELTER, WAIT, STILL CHECK OUT THE SHELTER!!!!!

Well you cant blaim the office for mice because they can come in the best of places and neighborhoods. But as far as the crimes in the area. That is managements faight because they are not going through the approval process properly. Not going by policy procedure. But i feel you on everything else. You might as well go live down town in those projects if you are living at highland. It will get better. Dont worry you should just finish out your lease.

My family and I lived in Highland Village for 4 years. I completed out my lease and gave the proper notice and now I am still fighting them because they automatically renewed our lease for another year and now they are saying that they are going to "evict" us! How can they do that when I have CERTIFIED documentation from the health board and corporate about those horrible living conditions. As far as the mice go, that is the office's problem, according to the health board, if it is a regular problem and a routine for this office to deal with it then they are NOT doing the job to get rid of them. THEY ARE INFESTED! That is thier problem. As far as it getting better, unlikely! I had druggies coming up to our house on a regular basis to ask for cigarettes or something to drink! I have had blood splattered on my front door, I have had to contact the health board when my house was infested with termites and mice just to move units!! Then they wanted to move us next to a registered child sex offender when I have 2 small children. KISS MY BUTT! My husband and I were so happy to get out of there and I feel for all the poor people that were tricked into thinking that place was nice.
