I lived in this complex for five years. The first three years were very pleasant. The management company worked very hard to make sure we were happy and that all complaints (although I'm sure there weren't many) were addressed and corrected immediately. I once complained to the management that the teenager upstairs continued to play his music too loud even after I asked him to please just turn it down a little. I never heard his music again once I complained to the management. Unfortunately the current management company took over after my third year there, and it was down hill from there. The teenager moved out and several immigrants moved in. They played their music way too loud morning, noon and night. Naturally, they responded to my requests for them to please turn down the music by turning it up. So I called the manager, Ellen Fenske. Her response' She came to my apartment, invited herself in and proceeded to tell me that she didn't think their music was that loud, and that certainly I should understand that the walls in these apartments are very thin and that you have to expect this type of thing. That's funny. I could have sworn the lease I signed said a quiet, peaceful and respectful living space was guaranteed. Not only that, but then there's the issue of the outrageous rent increases. One year my rent increased $40 dollars a month. The next year it went up another $35!!! That's when I wised up and moved out. The neighborhood has definitely gone downhill. The crime rate has risen dramatically. Especially in these apartments! The staff has master keys, and trust me when I tell you, they use them whenever they want! Don't believe me' Ask the local police department!! Don't rent here. Go anywhere else, but don't rent here!
