The One Good Review'

I have lived here for over a year and have had few problems. Earlier this year, I returned from work on a Friday and found I had no heat, upon calling the EMERGENCY maintenance number, I had a serviceman in my apartment within 30 minutes. When it was too dark outside for him to finish fixing the furnace, he brought me a space heater from the office to use...my furnace was fixed, with a new thermostat, the next morning eventhough it was a Saturday.

Per complaints about the rent increase--for many apartments, rent is increased every year when you re-new your lease. And yes, it will typically be between $35 and $50, the increase is stated in your lease. It's not something only done by Kenilworth.

The neighborhood is nice, there's two shopping centers located near-by,one off Waltham Woods and one on Joppa Road. There are banks, gas stations and restaurants near by and much of the buildings are situated off the highway and on the cusp of residential neighborhoods.

The noise is typical for an apartment complex. I have college kids next to me and a family above me. If you can't deal with 'neighbor noise', you shouldn't live in an apartment. I'm sure there are times when your neighbors think you're being noisy too.

And there is always going to be crime, no matter where you live. Keep your car locked, your front door locked and don't leave your patio door open if you're not home. The lower aparment patio doors are equiped with bars which will prevent the door from being opened--if they are used/in place. These are simple rules that everyone should know and follow.

Perks: shopping close by, sidewalks, close to the beltway on/off ramp, a pool, a parking lot in front of the building and plenty of street parking if necessary, apartment buildings not located directly on the highway,well-kept grounds (even after the February snow storm the sidewalks were cleared), spacious rooms (first floor apartments and two bedroom apartments have an extra, ample-sized, room off the dining room)and walk-in closets.

After reading some of the other comments, I'm glad these people no longer live at Kenilworth. They are the ones that make living there terrible not the management staff!

And yes, I have already re-newed my lease for next year.
