We have lived here for 5.5 years and have had a variety of experiences. Before Continental took over, things were great. We felt like part of a family. There were on time rent incentives and no yearly rent increases. Since Continental, things are definitely more challenging. Our biggest problem is rent increases. The last time we renewed our lease, they actually wanted to raise our rent by 10% or by 3.5% if we "acted quickly." We got them down to 2.5%, which we still think is ridiculous. We've usually had good neighbors, and noise is typically limited to stairs and walking above us, which is just part of apartment living. We've had mixed maintenance results. We can't seem to get our air conditioning working quietly, but when we had a major problem earlier this year, they were great. We had a huge plumbing problem that resulted in major water damage in our kitchen. They fixed it completely and we couldn't have had a better experience with our maintenance man. Most of our maintenance problems are addressed on the same day we call. This place isn't perfect, but we love the space, and will just deal with the challenges which can exist anywhere.
