Stuck in the Boonies!

This is not a "great" place to live. It's ok if you are looking for something average to middlin'. Things don't get fixed right away, instead the office likes to play the blame game instead, or pass the buck. Lord help you if you have any serious utility issues like AC or phone. You are in trouble if you need AC service on the weekends in the summer- which will be often- because the tactic is to fill up the freon rather than replace the lines or the ailing, aged, unit. The gutters have not been cleaned out properly and the landscaping and drainage is shoddy, so storms cause damage to the grounds and it is miserable with mosquitoes from the standing water in the summer. I wanted to plant flowers, but the first good rain discouraged me from that. They would have been washed away or drowned.
The worst part for me was the lack of public transportation- don't let them tell you otherwise! I was lied to about how many busses and how often they came through the neighborhood when I moved in 2004. The office staff didn't even know how to read a bus timetable, let alone be an authority on the subject. Now MTA is planning on shutting down the "Joppa Heights" service altogether in the spring of 2006. Then there will be no public transportation available at all. My neighbors were loud, dirty, breeders that have no sense of common ground rules.
