we are so glad that our lease is up. we have had problems from day one and now we are just counting down the days. our screen door was ripped when we moved in and when we complained they gave us a new one, but they didnt put it on the track right. our bathroom is so nasty and had been like that since day one. when we moved in it wasnt even clean behind the toliet. the sinks do not drain properly. mold all around the bath tub. our dishwasher has never worked, and no one has fixed it properly. the neighbors are trashy. sketchy people wander the streets at night. our upstairs neighbors were recently evicted and the maintenance just threw everything in front of our patio...we're on the bottom level. my boyfriend asked the maintenance about it and apparently they found all sorts of drugs and needles. before they got evicted they would keep us up all hours of the night pacing, stomping, and making noises i dont care to describe. the maintenance crew is the laziest bunch of people, they walk around doing nothing all day, and always peek into my back door. we've even seen them in the back of a pickup truck drinking beer. (our apartment is right next to their shed) i cant wait to get out of here. we've found that there is much better apartments around here for a little bit more money, and it will defintely be money well spent.

That is your best bet. Get out while the getting is good. I had similar but definately worse problems when I lived there. Consider yourself lucky: The apt next to us burned almost to the ground (we were EXTREMELY lucky that our apt was not touched by the fire or by water damage from the firefighters. Dumpster fires, stuff getting stolen from our 'patio'. parking nightmares, neighbor nightmares (unfortunately the family in the apt next to us where the fire was were the nicest people I have ever met in an apt complex).
