Don't Do IT

I lived in Kennilworth for 2 years and I have to say the property is going down and it has a lot to do with management. Toward the end of my lease management changed about 6 months prior and they were very laxed on getting things done. I had to call serveral times to have an outdoor light fixure changed because it presented a safety risk. Upon moving, my apartment was emmaculately cleaned and I followed all of the instructions on their form, however they still found a way to keep my security deposit alleging that the carpet was severly damaged. I'm currently in a dispute with them about the allegations being that I lived in a one bedroom apartment alone, never cooked, and required that people removed shoes before entry into my place. Management is not very professional and I had to advise her not to yell at me during our conversation. I've since tried to contact the carpet company who said they inspected a 2br apartment not a 1 br and they have not followed up much after that. I see that this will be a long battle. Before I left they were letting anybody move in, children were hanging out in the halls and leaving food, there was a needle on the step that sat there for days, and the hall carpets are in desperate need of a cleaning. The rent is relatively cheap for the area, so I guess you get what you pay for. I really wouldn't recommend this complex, who wants to battle for repairs and a security deposit after being a good tenant.
