When we moved in it was nice, but now we want out!

These apartments were just remodeled when we moved in. But after a few weeks we realized how shabbily it was redone. Bathtubs that tilt outward so that the shower water runs off the corners of the tub onto the floor. The soap dishes all tilt down as well, so we don't even use those, the soap slides right off. The bathroom floor although already tiled with brand new tile was cracking and coming loose after a few weeks. Then the whole floor itself started sinking. It took them months to show up to fix the floor, which is now cracking again due to no fault of ours. They redid it right over rotten wood. I was very careful about the water and I'm sure that the floor was already damaged. I suggested that they buy water guards so the water didn't run out onto the floor. They didn't care. It's almost impossible to wash your clothes here. There are 12 families in each building sharing 2 washers and dryers. There is no ventilation fan in the laundry rooms and it's awful in there especially in the winter when the window is closed which mgmt insists stay closed. You can't breathe for the bleach and heat from the dryers running. The floors in the hallways are slick as ice (someone chose slippery flooring, duh!!!) especially when your shoes are wet from rain or snow and we've already fallen in the hallway 2 times. They finally got rugs at the entry, but now they're gone. If any of my family memebers slips again I will sue these people. There is no cross ventilation in apartments like these. I really hate that and will never move someplace that doesn't have that. Oh, and the flourescent lighting is the pits too. Both bathrooms, dining room and kitchen have those. Taxicabs and just friends I suppose pull up out front to pick people up and beep their horns like the sky is falling and they have no consideration as to what time it is. As for the other tenants, in the beginning it really was a quiet place. I felt safe and could get a good nights sleep. But that's changing. There is a lot of noise, yelling in the am and it's looking trashy. Cigarette butts everywhere, trash in the parking lots. Well, that should be enough to help you decide. I can't wait to move out.
