The noisiest, most overpriced property in the city

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I've lived in The Shipyard Building, which is a condo and apartment building owned by the same managment company at Lighthouse Point, since September 2007. I have heard every single thing my neighbors have done literally every single night since I moved in. From peeing to watching TV to having sex, I HAVE HEARD IT ALL. To make matters worse, I have also been awoken nearly every night by either trucks going by on Boston St, the garbage pick-up at 4am, or motorcycles roaring by my windows. The sad part is that the building itself is really quite beautiful, and my apartment has amazing cathedral ceilings and way too much room for one person. But, I would sacrifce all that for insulation in the wall. Unfortunately, many, many, many apartment buildings in Baltimore were built by cheap developers looking to make a buck, who skimped on insulation. The result is getting to know your neighbors far too well, and paying ridiculous amounts of money for heat. As a post-doctoral resident at Hopkins, all I wanted was a quiet and peaceful place to return home to every night after a long, hard day at work. Unfortunately, that has been a very rare occurrence. Keep in mind that I obviously have extremely classless neighbors, who spend nearly every day from 5pm to 12am screaming at each other. Regardless, I pay far too much money to listen to that every night. My other serious complaint is the disgusting odor of animals in the elevator every single day. If you have animals, I guess this is a place for you, but if you don't, be prepared to smell everyone else's.
I would seriously look elsewhere. I hear Tindeco is even worse!
