I've lived here since 1996. I remember the maintenance folks who looked like street people, but they are gone under the new management, so far as I can tell.

I was a homeowner in my former life and don't expect management to unclog a toilet or sink for me. I do expect response to complaints -- and there are times when requests need to be reiterated before action.

I have experienced during these 9 years both roaches and mice, UGH!!!! The roaches were due to a family in my building who didn't know they WEREN'T supposed to have those critters living there. Once the family left, the problem went totally away. Yes, the mice moved in 2 winters ago and drove me nuts. I had very little difficulty getting a response to my request to plug possible entrance spots and the 2 traps in my kitchen haven't been touched in 18 months.

Heat fluctuates. "Gas surcharges" are logical. Have you heard the news recently' Space heater in bathroom works beautifully. I love the cross-ventilation.

It would be great if management could designate several adjacent buildings as "non-smoking" ones, cuz it's irritating to have smoke blow in your bedroom window cuz folks in the next building are standing outside smoking.

New windows are great. New management is much more pleasant than old one.

One complaint is trying to park on the street when so many renters are apparently college students (and others) who have never parallel parked - and are inconsiderate (or oblivious) to others. They park in the middle of two parking spots, for example, or 1/2 space from the end of the legal parking zone. Oh, well....
