We started out w/ roaches, to date we have caught 11 mice (only been living here since June), the apt. leaked when it rained, the paint in our tub peeled off, etc.

Just to let everyone know, we have a very clean apt. Everyone in our building has had the same problems b/c the basement windows are not sealed, they are just covered by plywood with cracks around the edges. Our building is connected to two other buildings, so if something enters one of them it can travel up and down the buildings. The people below us, just moved in and IMMEDIATELY they had roaches and mice. The other day my roommate saw them removing a dead mouse from their apt., "Join the club!" Sure they will send an exterminator to spray the apt. but that is only a temporary fix, and you have to wash everything in the kitchen when they come b/c it is toxic! I swear.... RIDICULOUS!! The ONLY good thing is that the apt. is warm...

Wow...a portable window a/c unit is no more than 60 dollars at walmart. Buy a damn a/c and stop bitching!

Seriously A/C's are not expensive at all... Plus if you knew there was no washer and dryer before you moved in, you should have leased somewhere else!

the people that responded to your comment must work for loch raven apartments. I am sure that every good review that this complex has gotten is from someone who works for them or people who are just filthy as hell! and by the way, if they promise something, they should friggin' deliver! Oh yeah, if you have a leak in your ceiling or a crack in your wall, just run out to home depot and fix it yourself...the supplies won't cost you that much!

I agree with the last response. If the complex says they are going to provide something they should! That simple. That seems to be the overall problem with this place...a lot of talk and no follow up. Not very professional and not good service. I am very much on the fence about moving here and these comments are helping me decide. Management really needs to take into consideration that people who are deciding where to move look at these reviews and take them seriously. If a tenant takes the time out to write a comment, they obviously want to inform people and have a voice.

OMG!!!!!! Are you my neighbor, or is the entire complex the same way? I just moved into the complex myself and I thought I was the only one with these problems. I was recently told that they were giving out additional A/Cs but it was found that by using two A/Cs in a unit that the fuses (in the fuse boxes not circuit breakers) were blowing. So the company decided against issuing any more A/C units. Funny thing is, I borrowed an a/c and no fuses blew. The intolerable heat, piss poor electrical system, urine saturated carpet, substandard professionalism, and shotty (at best) maintenance for me is unbearable and without a shadow of a doubt, this 18th Century rat hole will not get another year out of me, or anyone I know. I am sad to say that they got me for this year, but they won't get me for another. I can only say one good thing about this place and that is, it is a good location to my job and school. So, for anyone who is looking for a place to live, MOVE ON...... DON'T MOVE IN!!!!! DO NOT MAKE LOCH RAVEN VILLAGE APARTMENTS YOUR NEW HOME BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT!! These reviews can not truly paint a picture vivid enough of this nightmarish place!

Hey, look at the bright side, you JUST moved here. Me and my roommate were promised three units in our apartment before we moved in last year. Needless to say were did not even receive one by our move in date. It took them two weeks to even get the first unit in, AFTER we were promised on multiple occasions to have all three. They had over a month to do it prior to our move in date as well. To this day we still only have one unit, and were about to finish our one year lease, and can't wait to move out. Like the comment above, DO NOT MOVE HERE.

So everyone I am WAY over the AC units! I have bigger issues... first there were the roaches... which I had to fix by buying my own traps, now mice have chewed through the kitchen wall and have invaded!! We were gone for a week on vacation and the mice literally moved in!!! There were mouse droppings everywhere, including the kitchen, beds, and sofas!!! I f'ing HATE this place...SERIOUSLY IF ANYONE RENTS FROM HERE AFTER READING THESE AWFUL REVIEWS YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR HEAD EXAMINED!!! This place is a true dump and I regret living here to the fullest! As I am typing this another mouse just landed on the sticky traps I put out... that is 3 tonight...this is sooooo disgusting, I want out!

You can always call Buzzto's HQ in Greenbelt if the rental office isn't doing their job. In fact, I highly recommend it. They can't fix the problem at LRV if they don't know how bad the service is. Call 301-220-0100 and ask for district manager for Loch Raven Village Apartments.
