I wrote a review on Loch Raven village a while ago while I was still living there and reading the reviews since then;I see things don't change. I ended up taking LRV to court for rodent infestation and mold and of course no one showed up,so I was able to get out of my lease early. I'd advise if anyone decides to go that route,have plenty of evidence (i.e. names,pictures,letters,citations etc) I had all of those. The citation was from the Baltimore county code enforcement, you're required to supply in writing the problem and give LRV a month to fix the issues. In my case the issues became worse. I moved out the end of June and to this day I still haven't gotten all of my security deposit back. Everytime I call I'm told they're "checking on it." So that's something else to be aware of when you move out make sure you take pictures of how you left the apartment and make sure you have reciepts for all rent payments,because they tried to get over on me. If I moved out in June I shouldn't have to still deal with them,but unfortunately they love to give people the run around and after everything I had to endure, I definitely deserve my security deposit back.Don't know if this will be of any help to anyone,but just a little more useful information about this place. PLEASE DON'T MOVE TO LOCH RAVEN VILLAGE APARTMENTS!! I've added more photos,but can only upload six and trust me there are plenty more.

That place needs to be torn down. On the one hand it is fairly inexpensive - but mold is very dangerous and you can scrub the ceilings etc all you want but it is in places you can't get to like the walls. The maintenance thing would scare me too - I used to live in a place like that - came home and found the master keys to the apartment complex and a pot pipe in my kitchen and I had no service orders open. I'd buy a trailer before I would live in an apartment complex again. Good luck!

OMG!!!!! I live in LRV too and you are absolutely correct. This place is the worst!!!! I am seriously considering starting a petition and taking these people to court. This is Baltimore County for crying out loud, not an inner city project developement. As a matter of fact, I have seen project developements that are better than this mess. I am counting the days to the end of my lease.

Why did you sign up for a new lease if you were as unhappy as you say in the one bedroom? Also, it does sound like you abandoned your pets to the point where a concerned neighbor called the office and had maintenance come and feed and water them...which I am glad they did to be honest.

I have lived at LRV for 2 years. Things have gone steadily downhill. How can they add additional charges after a lease has been signed. They sent me a notice at lease renewal time saying rent was increasing by $1. They have since added a charge for water and gas. They have threatend me with eviction if I do not pay these charges and I am on time with rent. I feel threatened and victimized.

we just got a similiar letter. It has to be against the law to do that. We're being told that they made a mistake and we weren't charged for gas, so now we have to pay for what they didn't charge us before,plus our new regular monthly charges. We were also told that if this amount is not paid we will be taken to court as well as evicted.

You can always call Buzzto's HQ in Greenbelt if the rental office isn't doing their job. In fact, I highly recommend it. They can't fix the problem at LRV if they don't know how bad the service is. Call 301-220-0100 and ask for district manager for Loch Raven Village Apartments.
