First of all not only is there a roach problem, but there is a mouse problem and big rat sized mice. It doesnt matter how much you clean in there the roaches and mice still come back. I lived there for a semester and a half when I went to Morgan and I hated every minute that I stayed there. My roomate tried to mop and polish the hardwood floors in our apartment one time and five minutes later it looked like a hot mess again. (She spent like 3 hours mopping that floor). I really dont even wanna talk about all that mold because it will just make me mad. Every single day like clock work the sirens from the fire station up the street were going. Forget about getting any sleep at any time of the day. The maintenance people painted over every problem in the apartment. We could barely plug in lamps because the socket was painted over like fifty times. When we came back to school after Christmas break the apartment door was painted shut. We had to bust it in. Oh and the kitchen cabinets were painted shut too so forget about putting plates or anything up in the cabinets. You probably wouldnt want to anyway. My boyfriend also lived in Northwood and his apartment was worse. He had all the problems mine had and then some. One day it rained...and not hard by the way...and the ceiling in his bedroom closet caved in, all of his clothes and things got wet. Wet and dirty actually from the paint chips and whatnot. That hole never got fixed for that entire semester, so everytime it rained or whatever it got in his closet he had to keep all of his clothes in bags and on his bed the whole time he was there. I know this is long but yall gotta know. I just thank God that my financial aid covered the cost to stay there because if I had been paying rent for that hell hole they probably would be shut down right now :) If you know what is best for you DO NOT MOVE TO NORTHWOOD APARTMENTS!!!!!!!
