Jail!!! That's all I can say for these owners and landlords. Oh yeah...there's something called "Emergency Maintenance", but when have they ever answered their phones or returned calls' When has management addressed the no heat, no hot water issue' When has management addressed the Morgan State students that tear down doors, have parties until 4-5AM' When has management addressed the roach, mice and ceiling leak problems'
Come here....looks nice. SOME apartments are being renovated, only to charge more for rent, but the problems mentioned above will still remain. Until they address the problems that are related to health, hygene, and their obilgation to a quiet, clean living experience, all the superficial things they're doing doesn't amount to nothing.
If you have any type of pride, you'll never give your money to these people, whether by rent or college grant.
And if you don't believe me......move here.
OH....BTW....it's 7/27/2007.........NO HOT WATER (3RD DAY)...........

Dear Jail!!, I have a 1 bed 1 bath apartment coming up for rent mid-August. It is in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by home owners. The building is no pets and non-smoking. The rent is $700/mo. If interested, call Susan at 443-992-0881.

I lived at this dump for over 3 years. I've experienced everything from mold, mice, noisy neighbors to carpeting that comes loose from the walls, no heat, no hot water, a stove, if placed above 375 degrees, causes the fire alarms to sound. I rented a two bedroom, with no heat in one bedroom for over 2 years. The Baltimore City Rent Courts do not support the tennent, as they refused to regonize any problems, other than to mention the over 13 violations. I was still told to pay rent, and was given 3 days to pay, reminding YOU, violations (over 2 years old) had not been satisfied. Though some apartments were being renovated, and the new owners were trying to change Marble Hall Gardens (haha), my apartment was not touched, other than new heating, which resolved the "no heat and hot water" issue. Other apartments received new kitchens, bathrooms, and carpeting. Oh...did I mention....they went up on rent, though I was still living in horrible conditions. Now...maintenance. They alleged to have an emergency number. Well, if you can leave a message, you're lucky. Almost every attempt to leave a message, resulted in a recording saying the mailbox was full. Even if they cleared their messages, you wouldn't get a response, or they refused to answer their phone. BTW....the office is closed on the weekends, so if you have an emergency, you're only recourse is to call someone to fix the problem, pay the out of pocket expenses, and take it out your next month's rent. Hold on to the receipt, to take to court, when management refuses to address the issue. You move here....at your own risk. Please don't say, you were never warned.
