Morgan View Apartments are not suitable for living.
Rodents: First off the apartments are mice infested. I have seen like 5 different types of mice in my suite. Including one of them joints from that episode of Martin when him and Gena went to Chicka somthing Island. One night I was cooking and a mouse jumped out of the stove. I thought I was going to pass out. Another night my roomate woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and saw the mouse in there, I was awaken by the frantic screams of my roomate.

Room: The 20 sq. ft. room that you stay in cost $540 a month. However rent is due to go up this fall. You get a big ass desk that you don't even need, which takes up 50% of your room, and a cot/hard ass bed which takes up the other 50% of your room. The closet is really small, however you do get free basic basic basic cable and you get free broad band. Write that down cause thats the only free thing you get. The floor is concrete with a little piece of carpet covering it.

Management: One word: Incompetent When I first moved into Morgan View they were asking people to allow an extra roomie to room with them because they over-booked the apartments, which meant 5 people in a cluttered 4 bedroom suite. There are always things broken around the complex.


Events: There are always parties and loud music as well as fights, lots of fights. One night I came home and there were police cars in front of my building, I went upstairs and there was a pool of blood literally in front of my door and two policemen standing at the end of the hall. I thought one of my roomates had been assaulted and it spilled out into the hallway, but I soon found out that two people who didn't even live on my floor where at a party across the hall from me had a spat. The spat resulted in one of the people involved being stabbed in the eye. Also a couple of weeks ago the roomies accross the hall from me were robbed at gun point. The assailant fled thru their living room window. There were police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks everywhere, not to mention a helicopter....Yes I said a helicopter. People sell and smoke weed in thier apartments.

Parking: Again when I first moved in The front security gates were either broken or turned off and had been for a while. I inquired about parking, management told me that parking was included. We went through a whole semester and a half of semester, no gates. Then one night I happened to look outside and there were like 5 tow trucks towing cars. I inquired as to what was going on, my RA told me that Morgan View just instated another parking policy that's right in the middle of a got damn semester. So people had do come up with $100 or park offsite. Otherwise they'd be stuck paying $260 dollars to retrieve their car from the tow lot. For $540 a month a parking space should be included.

One other thing: During winter break the sprinkler system in my building malfunctioned on my floor causing all the apartments to flood. Maintenance and Management were very careless as to how they handled this. Our water and electricty was powered off for a week, and since then there has been a bad stence in the room. Also Managements compensation for our food and damaged items was: hope you're sitting down.... a $50 walmart gift card, not target, not home depot, not sams, not even kmart... cheap ass, wack ass Walmart.

Well this was my experience at Morgan View, my lease is up so Im out, and guess what I just bought a house. Thats not the good news, the good news is that my mortgage is almost as cheap as my rent at Morgan View.... One thing in life that we all must learn that is: bad experiences count too, so Thanks Morgan View for allowing me to experience one of the worst experiences in my life so far. This is definitly working towards my growth.
