Let me start by saying although my apartment is small I love the layout. Its cozy and cute. However I have been experiencing problems since day #1. My move in date was July 11, 2009 and my lease even states it. Ironically I called two days prior to find out they dont do move ins on saturday so I would have to move in Friday...WOW! Moving day was a complete inconvience! The rental agent obviously wasn't knowledgable when it came to the procedures. Day #2 consisted of having my hot water heater replaced which resulted in having to get my carpet pulled up and dryed. I am now going on my fourth week here and heres my list:
I have a toilet that constantly runs (hhhhmmm not looking forward to that water bill)
A noisey tenant above in which I have made complaints in writing...its so noisey I barely sleep here...I find shelter else where place
The bottom of my front door is not sealed so I stuff it with towels to keep out the water bugs...they literally welcome me home daily
My floor vents are filled with water....I'm up half the night cleaning it up
I havn't recieved a copy of my lease
I havn't recieved payment vouchers to pay my rent
However maintanience are nice and helpful when they recieve request
The rental agents except one are unprofessional
The property is kept up for the most part although the neighbors are messy
I have read all the reviews and everyone is complaining about mice and roaches so I am scared about whats to come next. In a few days will mark a month I have been here and I am considering paying to get out of my lease. It seems most people break their lease here. I was wondering why I have only noticed that 3 of 12 apartments in this building are occupied and thats including mine. If anyone is reading this please find another rental property....there is no need to consider moving into Northbrooke Township....this is not a place to call home.
BTW the laundry room has hours...8-4 I guess they expect people to take off of work to do laundry

If you really want to stay make them give you the main number and tell them you want another apartment, ask for Vicki she is the CEO.Do not let them give you Janette the Regional Manager, she is going to do nothing for you trust me I know I used to work there.The Park East property is lovely and the manager is great, although I don't Know what you can afford the starting 2bed 1-1/2 bath is 895.00. Good luck.
