Northern Village Apartments

I lived in Northern Village for almost two years.

At first everything seemed to be decent, especially the rent.

I must admit, they'll even work with you when you're late on rent (because they're money hungry like that).

Compared to the previous apt I lived in, I must say rodents and insects weren't a problem (I only had 1 mouse, that I got rid of on my own).

The maintenance men were definitely on top of things, except in the winter.

Look out for big chunks of solid ice (I fell down my steps) and you'll never get to work, due to the horrible shovel jobs and big snow mountatins shoveled in front of your car.

It wasn't until within a 2 month's timeframe that, my 2 CARS WERE BROKEN IN TO on the property (along w/ 6 others in the area) and I GOT HELD UP AT GUNPOINT BY 3 MEN in front of my house (along w/ 4 others in the area), that Riehl Estate Management showed me their true colors.

Not to mention,the walls are VERY thin, at night there's no parking, and THE OUTSIDE LIGHTING IN THAT AREA HAS ALWAYS BEEN TERRIBLE and will never be upgraded, just ask!! Like anyone, you'd want out of your least as soon as possible in that situation.

But, although I submitted both police reports and a letter stating my incidents in full (as requested by management) they still did not sympathize.

In fact, they tried to charge me for things that were not there or damaged already before I moved in & rent for the month I moved out and the next'! Now almost $1000 will be in collections, because they didn't even give me a good report card moving to the next place! When I asked why they wanted a copy of my reports, I was told so they could survey the area (like that area hasn't been on the news enough)'' Anyway, (before moving in) if I were you I'd get the 2nd opinion of those residents who's apartments have been robbed in this complex too, other than all that GOOD LUCK AT NORTHERN VILLAGE APTS!! I can swear 100 % on everything written, what I'm not sure of, is if they are probably writing those positive comments received on this site themselves!!!
