I moved here from Detroit because it's close to work, but am ready to go back to Detroit or anywhere to get out of here. Besides the ghetto-like atmosphere and high-crime neighborhood, there's nothing good to say about this housing debacle. My friends from church refuse to visit me and I can't blame them, although two of them are visiting soon to help me plan my moving out of here as soon as possible. A recent downside is the common towing scam, obviously a kickback operation although they deny it. Regardless of whether or not kickbacks are involved, it's not uncommon to wake up with your car missing, but you can get it back for $220 from down by the airport. I hate this place for a lot of other reasons. Every night, the apartment above me sounds like they're bowling with cinder blocks, and the hallways are frequently littered with brats who act like they're homeless in spite of "No Loitering" signs, but the parking lots are frequented by people of all ages shouting at each other, peeing in the bushes, littering the place with cans and bottles. Regardless of however inexpensive this place may appear to be, it's not worth it.
There are mice and rats who visit frequently from out of holes in the cabinets.
Water flow is intermittent and inadequate.
New carpet was laid on a pile of plywood before I moved in, and the floor is uneven and unpoleasant to walk on when barefooted. The carpet seldom goes all the way to the wall molding, which is substandard for supposedly wall-to-wall carpeting.
