Olde Forge is owned by Berkshire Property Advisors, LLC. According to thier mission statment, "To provide exceptional service to our residents" you'd think they cared about the residents. They in fact do not. As long as the manager Kim is in a good mood, ya might get some decent service. We have been here for 5 months and have had several maintenance issues that were not fixed or fixed half-way. The maintenace also left our attic access open and our cat got in the attic and fell down inside the wall. Maintenance had to hear the cats cries as well as scratching but left the apt anyway. My wife came home within an hour and rescued him after hearing his cries. Imagine coming home and hearing your beloved pet crying..inside a WALL! For this horrifying incident, we had to plead for 150.00 to be taken off our next months rent. I guess maintenence figured that the cat would DIE soon and we'd just "Get over it" as I heard. Also, Our dishwasher leaked, the clothes washer sounded like a train when we would run it, electrical outlets were falling out of the walls & more. after contacting upper managment, we recieved only 200.00 off our rent for 1 month, a new dish washer & clothes washer. We are seriously considering NOT renewing our lease.

I had a horrible experience with Berkshire Porperties in Laurel(Seasons Apartments). The upper management told me that they didn't care enough to do anything to make me feel better about the lack of customer care from their employees. They should not be in the business of housing. They should be investigated and publicly reprimanded.

I agree that the OF leasing office staff is far from representing the mission statement for Berkshire. Kim (office mgr)can definitely be tempremental, but not in the obvious way one would assume. Instead, it's way more insulting that she prefers to act concerned in one breath and in the next she forgets what the issue at hand is, or she tries to divert from the point of an issue by bringing up irrelevant info. I think Harry (maint. super) is the one good thing at this development, but even he can't keep me at the place since they plan to displace EVERYONE THAT LIVES AT OLDE FORGE AT THE END OF THEIR CURRENT LEASE!!!! Now tell me what kind of business that claims to provide "exceptional service" to their residents would make everyone move out of their homes without first having any pre-set steps of recourse for residents they have inconvenienced?
