I moved from NY and what bothered me about the apartment was that the "sample apartment" was a whole heck of a lot better than my actual apartment. Also, the windows are very old & do not insulate well at all so expect a pretty hefty BGE bill. The air conditioner which is included was VERY suspect. There were several mice in the winter. As soon as October came, the little things scurry right on in. I caught 5 mice but once I got a cat, I never saw a mouse after that. The kitchen is TINY, do not expect some fancy chef's kitchen, you get what you pay for. The walls are paper thin so expect to hear your neighbors upstairs, downstairs, next door and coming into the building. Lastly, the lights in the rear of the buildings are so bright it is imperative that you get dark colored curtains. But I guess the lights are there to deter crime so I can't be too mad at that.

It wasn't all bad though...the bedroom was a decent size. My neighbors weren't terrible, they may mutter a hello every now and again. I never had any issues with saftey....no one ever tried to break into my car or my apartment. I would come in very late at times and I never felt any way about it. Also, never saw any roaches so that was a plus. It is in very close proximity to 95/895 (3 min drive)and there was a bus stop right outside the complex so transportation shouldn't be an issue

Rent goes up about $25.00 a year. I started out at $453.00 and ended at $475.00 Overall, if you are on a budget, it isn't a horrible place to live but again, keep in mind that you are going to have a decent size BGE bill so factor that in.
