I have lived there for four years - they make repairs when requested (usually) most of the time they forget to complete them (dependant on issue). This was affordable for me, but have had growing issues over the years.
When I moved in, before I was even unpacked, I noticed roaches all over. Not great for a second day welcome committee. Yes, there are always mice here and there. The windows are old, although some apartments have new ones. There is a considerable wait list if you need new ones and in the meantime you can watch your $$ fly out the window.
There is a problem with moisture and mold as well....I wonder why''' LOL (bad insulation from elements perhaps'
Not nearly enough closet space.
Neighbors are okay to a point (and depending on the building). I still keep to myself as much as possible.
Parking is getting to be a hassle but most of the time I do not have a problem. Once the storm drain in the lot overflowed and caused water damage to a few cars! Man was that ever a sight.
Playgrounds need repair (havent been touched in last three years). I stopped taking my grandchildren because of all the ant holes (infestation), broken swings, etc.
There are not enough washing machines and dryers in the complex - one W/D every other building...and the laundry down the hill is really too expensive.
Cable is free.......
If you pay cheap you get cheap but considering the rising costs all around you, it's no wonder a lot of residents stay as long as possible. 2 bdrms - 700.00' Not so bad in the city....
