Positives:
When I first moved in two years ago, this was one of the most beautiful apartments that I looked at in the area. I am in a two bedroom apartment on the top level and the nice thing about it is that it's two levels. Also you get two full baths and the appliances are all new (microwave comes with it)!! There are beautiful details and big sunny windows. Mt. Vernon is a very safe and fun place to live-- one of the more up-scale neighborhoods in Baltimore and you can walk to the Inner Harbor in about 15-20 minutes.
Negatives:
The Management is not really to blame, it's more or less the owner. The apartments were recently renovated and are nice right now-- but you can tell that the products that were used are cheap and will rundown soon (flat paint and carpets are so cheap-- if you brush against the wall it stains). Also, I heard that they try to screw you out of a lot of your deposit when you leave-- and ignore the fact that there will be some wear-and-tear that you shouldn't be responsible for so beware. Final note- if you do have a two bedroom apartment, the bedrooms are upstairs in your unit and the walls are very thing-- so beware of loud next door neighbors.
