Not worth the hassle

Sure, it looks nice from the outside, but once you've been sucked in, it's all down hill. First and foremost is building security. Management lulls you into believing the building is safe since we have controlled access and cameras. Camera's don't do any good when the doors are propped open and muggings take place at the back gate. There have been numerous break ins recently and it seems like this area is going down hill. For the amount of rent I pay a month, I expect complete security and all I get is the illusion of such.

Second, there is construction across the street. The front walls allow in ALL the noise, and since construction begins at 7am 6 days a week, there is no such thing as sleeping in.

Third,
Managment is constantly roatating, which doesn't say much about the buildings owner. Because of this constant influx of new staff, problems routinely get ignored and tenants are faced with making numerous phone calls just to get a response.

Fourth, there is no parking. With the crime in this area on the rise, I would not feel safe parking on the street, as there have been numerous vehicle break ins recently.

Fifth, Rent. Rent for these small apartments is outrageous. I can't wait until my lease is up so I can get out of this place.

Sixth, the foyer. There has been a serious leak in the foyer by the vending machines for the 2.5 years that I have lived here and managment has done absolutely nothing to fix it. It is a complete eyesore and it still leaks everytime it rains. If they don't care enough to fix this minor problem, what does it tell you about how they treat the tenants'

Please, find another place to live. Yes, it's close to UB, but I promise it's not worth the hassle to live here. there are many great apartments whose management actually care about the tenants and who aren't masquerading as slum lords.
