I have lived in the Redwood for almost 3 years now. In general it is close to UMB and downtown which is nice. I like having the small gym in the building and the coffee in the lobby is an added benefit. The staff is nice, however the management seems to have an us versus them mentality. I am most frustrated with the long-term maintenance of the apartments. Unlike other places I have lived, the community does not do basic clean up on occupied apartments. My current apartment has been occupied by myself or a former roommate continuously for 5 years and the community refuses to clean the carpets or paint. Literally, they would rather me move out and then perform upkeep rather than retain a good renter and do some basic chores. I don't even bother asking any more, I am looking forward to moving out in the fall and getting a clean place.
