The Worst Place I have ever lived--really.

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2000
I lived here for one year 1999-2000. I was a law student. It was my first time in Baltimore. This place was absolutely horrible. The model they show is completely deceptive. Your place will look **nothing** like it. We were shown a 1 bed room with a hall closet. My unit did not include the closet. The stove never worked and I spent the greater part of the year on my stomach lighting the pilot light. Plus that nasty gas smell you get from older stoves is right in there. The toliet always ran. The bathroom is tiny. The complex is loud and I had 3 men who were out patients at the mental hospital (seriously) living in a "group home setting" across the hall. They were always talking to themselves and one even had a winter coat on in the dead of summer fighting with an imaginary "friend" in the front door of the building. I was afraid to go inside. Kids threw rocks at my cat who liked to sit in the window in the mornings and broke the window. There is no storage space. My apartment had one closet. The parking lot backs to a Food King and there are lots of wierdos lurking around. It is totally not a safe environment. i was always inside by dark. In the fall and winter the trees at night are filled with Ravens who poo all over the cars and make loud noises all night. It is like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock. Also, the ac/ heat never worked right. Heat was included but ac was not and I had it fixed several times a season. My average bill was $200 during the summer. My first few months there the bill was $300 and although I asked if it sounded normal for a 1 bed apartment to use that much energy, no one seemed to care. The management is horrible. The woman who was there druing 1999-2000 was totally rude and in effective. I could not wait to move! Please do not ever live there.
