Avoid, for now.

For the first several years I was at this community, it was wonderful. It was conveniently located, beautiful area, I had no issues with rodents or insects, maintenance was prompt and polite, the office staff was always helpful, and I felt safe - until the drug dealers and users started moving in.
It wasn't just private pot smokers, but the hardcore stuff - crack, heroin, the usual city poisons. Most of the units in my building's basement storage were broken into, windows on one unit were all broken when someone went on a drug-induced rampage, multiple apartments (including mine) and neighboring houses were broken into - it was to the point that the Baltimore City police were starting to pay attention, when it previously had been a very nice area.
I meant to leave Baltimore anyway for family reasons, but the rapidly rising crime reinforced my decision. I needed to move somewhere that I didn't feel the need to have a weapon within easy reach in my own home.
The staff are good people with their hearts in the right places, but I wouldn't recommend living there until they clean out some of the riffraff that's taking over. Unfortunately, I think this is reflective of the overall decline in Baltimore City, and not just this specific community.
