I have been living in Rodgers Forge Apartments since last September. A couple of weeks ago, the leasing office informed us to move out before Dec 15 since my unit will be renovated soon. They said in the letter that if we move into the newly renovated apartments, they will offer a discount rental price to us, i.e., $900 for 1br (regular price at $950). However, I noticed today on craigslist that they listed only $850 for 1br plus a free 32-inch LCD TV. The posts on craigslist could be found by the following URL:

What a joke! The discount is -$50 ('minus' $50) and 'minus' 32-in LCD TV. Have you heard such 'discount' before'

There are several one beds listed on Craigslist at $850. They are select terrace level units, rather than the standard one bedroom which is being currently offered at $900. There is/was no intent here to cheat anyone. For questions on the $850 units, please call the leasing office at 410-377-2172 or email Maggie at maggier@pmcpropertygroup.com.

OK, let's read this post
http://baltimore.craigslist.org/apa/1431405049.html
It says 'Prices starting at just $850 per month. Prices range from $850-$900'. So the highest price for 1-br unit is $900. Also, from alinamartin's reply, we see that the standard 1-bd is priced at $900.
Why did the leasing office tell the residents that the regular rental is $950, and pretend to offer a discount of $50? Can we call this as 'cheating'?

alinamartin - this is not a contest to see who wins - but the poster called you on a serious misrepresentation. RF also claims to have a playground. As of this date no one can locate the playground - unless they are referring to the tot lot that is clearly part of the real Rodgers Forge Community and not the apartments.

alinamartin has no clue. People express their dismay with the community and all she does is post responses that show she has no regard for people's pain. In another one of her posts, she appear to have more sympathy for the undocumented workers doing the hack repair job on the remaining buildings than she does for paying renters. I am staying far far far away from there.
