I moved to Roland Ridge in April of 2006 after having lived all over Baltimore. The location is great, with easy access to 83, Charles St. and Downtown. I've lived in many managed apartment complexes, and Roland Ridge is pretty good compared to others. As another reviewer noted, the walls are very thick...I almost never hear my neighbors, even when they have music on or guests over. I haven't had any problems with the laundry facility, which is right downstairs, and haven't had to call maintenance in the almost two years I've been here. With Roland Ridge, you get what you pay for...the rent is cheap, but you don't have a W/D, dishwasher, or Balcony, and the kitchen is pretty small. The neighborhood is ok, but as with any area in Baltimore, there are some bad kids nearby that have caused some minor problems with vandalism and car thefts. The complex does have a police officer on patrol, and I feel safe in the area. For a student or young professional looking for a cheap apartment for a few years, this is worth the money. I'll probably move out of the city in the next year, but being able to save up for a few years by living in Roland Ridge has been a great help.
