I've found Spinnaker Bay to be a wonderful home this past year. In fact, I'm most likely going to upgrade to a larger apartment when my lease runs out next month. The place is gorgeous and in a prime location. It's very expensive, but Spinnaker Bay is in Harbor East, which is one of the new, expensive areas of Baltimore, so you won't find anything else in the area that's cheaper. I moved down here from Boston, so apartment prices down here feel like a steal. I also signed my lease at a time that the leasing office was offering great deals, so I got my apartment considerably cheaper than it's market price.

In terms of the staff, I've been very impressed with their performance. Back in November I was doing a lot of traveling for work and during one trip I realized I had left an important document on my desk that I needed for a presentation. I called Spinnaker Bay and the Assistant Property Manager went to my apartment, got the document, and then overnighted it to me. I was incredibly grateful and very impressed that he went the extra mile for me. The staff always is very friendly and the full time concierge, Blake, is helpful and nice. In fact, he goes out of his way to bring my packages up to my apartment.

The only time I had a problem with my apartment was the first night I moved in. The washing machine was leaking and after a long day of moving all my furniture and boxes in the apartment, I was annoyed to see that there was already a problem. It was about 11:00pm, so I left a message with the front desk. First thing that morning two members of the maintenance staff were at my door and fixed the leak. They even gave me recommendations for all the great restaurants in the area, since I didn't know where anything was. I have not run into a single problem since that point.

I believe someone wrote something about the fitness center being too small. I must have looked at 15 different apartment communities when I was moving down here last year and Spinnaker Bay has by far the best gym. All the cardio machines have their own TVs and there is a separate section for weights. Back in the fall, they were having some problems with keeping the towels stocked and there weren't any mats for the floor, but since then there are always plenty of towels and they've brought in mats for the floor. I've also never run into problems with the gym being overcrowded. Usually between 5-7pm there will be a good deal of people working out, but I've never waited for a machine.

All in all, I would absolutely recommend this place. If it falls within your price range, this is a great place to live.
