Come on people, you live in a city, don't expect it to be dead silent all the time. If you want your peace and quiet...MOVE TO THE SUBURBS! (thats where all the jobs are anyways). And, if there wasn't construction, you'd hear ambulances and traffic noises all day. Did you notice in one of the previous comments that someone said they complain once a week to security but they dont have any problems with the security' Thats because people who live here are just a bunch of rich housewives or trust fund kids with nothing better to do. I live in a MUCH worse section of Baltimore and I got my car broken into once, which sucked, but I learned to park under street lamps and empty my car when I left it. But someone on here said they had their car broken into 3 times'! Honestly, if you don't learn after the first time not to leave ANYTHING in your car after its broken into once, you must be pretty thick. The punk teenage kids don't break into cars if they cant see anything in there worth stealing.
Now, Spinnaker Bay is probably the nicest of all the apartment complexes in Baltimore City. I've worked as a lifeguard here and many other places and they have the largest roof top pool, the best security, fastest elevators, and 24 hour service. And from what I hear of people who live here (not the kind that complain on this website, but actual normal people) they can never hear their neighbors. If you have a maintainance issue and they dont fix it within a timely manner, you can refuse to pay your rent until it is fixed. If I could afford to live here, honestly, I would. As for parking...theres ALWAYS parking on the 7th level day or night and you can walk right into the building from the 7th level. As for the pool and fitness room...they are hardly ever crowded during the weekdays, only on Saturdays. The complex hosts monthly activities - like happy hours at fancy restaurants and cookouts on the rooftop deck for their residents. What you are paying for if you live here however is LOCATION. This is one of the few places in Baltimore City where you can live in a bubble and never need to leave it. Within non-sketchy walking distance, you have the inner harbor, which is really nice, you have Little Italy for eating out, you have whole foods, which is an extremely overpriced grocery store (with amazing food...but if you dont want crazy grocery bills, you can drive down 5 minutes to Safeway) and you are close to the highway so you can go to work or the suburbs.
If you are raising kids, this is probably not the best place to live (the public school systems SUCK in Baltimore City - only 50% graduate high school). Not that Spinnaker Bay doesn't have kids at it...mostly spoiled and going to private schools, but a city like Baltimore just isn't a place to raise kids in my opinion - move to Owings Mills, Columbia or Essex instead (the 10 extra minute commute to work is worth it), plus if you are looking to buy, you dont have to pay the outrageous Baltimore city taxes.
Spinnaker Bay, along with most of the apartments in Baltimore City, is great for young professionals, short term stayers (especially internationals), and of course...the rich housewives who complain constantly. If you are going to live in Baltimore for longer than 2 years...you might as well buy a place and essentially live for free when you sell it back because real estate keeps going up in Baltimore. The best time to buy is in the winter, and the best time to sell is in the summer generally.

WOW, what a glowing review from someone who doesn't even live at this
apartment complex. I've never heard of a lifeguard taking such a personal interest in the complex where they work. Or could it be that this review was written by a DIFFERENT employee of Bozzuto??? I hope so, because it is kind of disturbing that you know what school the kids go to.

This post is toooo funny. I think Mr. Lifeguard is mad about working while "house wives and Trust fund kids" lay by the pool. Is someone a little green?

I don't think a lifeguard is able to comment on the sunny hours of the three months out of the year. I am a current resident and find this place over priced, cheaply made, and the noise is out of control. Stick to reading your magazine in the lounge chairs and not testing the pool chemicals.
