I have lived here for 2 years. The building is beautiful, and most of the staff members are wonderful. My apartment is small but in nice condition.
However, I have had several problems with the building. Parking is across the street, so if you come in at night, you have to walk across the street in the dark. Since I was mugged right out front of the building last year, coming in alone at night makes me very nervous. The parking garage is also really tight and now they are planning on charging an exorbitant fee to reserve a spot, which basically means if you can't afford that you have to pay $100/month for an unreserved spot on the roof (no elevator in the garage).
Also, I've had several incidents with mice in my apartment. I live on a high floor, and for the amount I'm paying, I shouldn't have problems with mice. I'm not a slob, so there is no reason for them to be attracted to my apartment. Maintenance has always responded pretty quickly when I've called because of a mouse, but it is unsettling and often takes days for them to catch it.
The huge windows, while gorgeous, are so drafty that you can't sit anywhere near them during the winter without at least two blankets (and this is with the heat on high and the thermostat set at 85). And since the apartment is so small, you can't avoid sitting next to the windows.
The free dsl internet they promised is slower than dial-up, and I was forced to pay for my own internet service. Also, it is pretty frustrating to not have a washer/dryer in the unit, as many other apartment complexes in the area have.
I've enjoyed my time living here, but for the price I'd recommend finding someplace else. I am moving to another complex nearby in a couple of months.

elevator in the garage? It's 3 floors....you lazy SOB.
thermostat set at 85? So much for saving the planet.
no washer/dryer in the unit? Ugh, I have to wait on one of the 4 elevators to take me straight to the laundry room that has 25 units.
