Be wary of this management company!

I admit that when I moved to Baltimore, I needed an apartment badly, and didn't have a job yet. so I was lucky to have an apartment at all, really. I liked how the model looked that I saw, which had been completely remodeled. Well, the apt. we got had not been. I couldn't view it until a week before move-in. There were many problems that needed to be taken care of before move-in, such as unclogging the stopped-up bathroom sink, re-caulking the bathtub, etc. Many things were not ready for us upon move-in. Management was slow to respond. When workers entered our apt., no-one left a notice saying what repairs were done or whether it was finished. We began to have serious pest problems, inlcuding slugs (UGH!) and black ants. We were told we were on the exterminators' list, only to find out later that we weren't. Then, when the exterminator does come (supposedly), he doesn't leave a card or note. So honestly, who knows if he was here or not. The management seems to groan everytime I call or stop by the office, and I have been treated rudely by the office people. Also, I have never seen the same person in the office. Every time, it is a diferent person. And in the past week, our vehicle was broken into and stolen from the property. (There aren't parking lots, per se, but you park on the surrounding streets which can lead to difficulty. and some streets are lacking in streetlights at night. Our neighbors are for the most part fine, a few are noisy, esp. since many have children. If you don't like kids, don't move here! We will be moving out at the end of our lease and reccommend that people do not move here. It's not that nice, and the rents are a tad high, even if you are on an inlet of water. There's only 1 laundry facility in the center of the complex, and it closes at 8pm, so if you work odd hours, tough luck!
