Incompetent staff but OK apartment

The apartments are old, which is fine except for the absolute incompetence of the maintenance personnel. I have had several minor problems, all of which resulted in the maintenance staff either being incapable of fixing of it, or breaking something else in the process of fixing it. In addition, the apartments are equipped with heat pump systems for heating and cooling, which would be great if they were maintained properly with the correct settings, which they aren't.

Office personnel are friendly enough, except that they will never call you back if you have a problem. In general it seems that the staff either does not know how to handle the problems, or doesn't want to. Either way you have to hound them for everything.

Having said all of this, I doubt any other place would be significantly better.

I have been here for a year and a half, and must agree. Though I haven't had much cause to get in touch with maintenance, whenever they are supposed to come, they either don't come at all, or come another time, and seem to be clueless. And it is very difficult to get help from the office.

I agree!! There is definately an issue with maintenance and the staff. Although, the manager seems friendly the secretary seems to not really care too much for the issues that one may have. I have had a problem with my thermostat for 2 years. I have had maintenance come to my unit over 8 times not resolving the issue. This Winter, I have paid over $1000.00 in BG&E bills do to the heat constantly running 24/7. I was told by the secretary that maintenance stated the reason my bills are so high is because he saw my thermostat set between 75-80 degrees. Yet, my vent temperature was over 80!!! So, I finally called back the other day...throughly explaining the issue and the secretary stated she would review the issue with maintenance again and get back to me. I returned home yesterday with a comment card stating the work which was done in my home, and my thermostat being fixed. A broke wire....and it took two years...over $1500 to BG$E before it was fixed, The best thing ( sarcastically) they are not even trying to compensate for all of the money I lost for their mistakes not finding the issue 2 years ago!!!! Definitely NOT good customer service!!!!!!!!
