What can you say'

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
We lived in the basement studio apartment, not an ideal living situation for two people. We had several mice in our apartment over the course of the year. Every few months we'd recieve a letter stating the pest control guys would be in our apartments (a huge pain if you have pets). We were without hot water for a weekend when the laundry room, adjecent to our bathroom, flooded and they shut off the hot water and forgot to turn it back on. Since we were not notified of this flood, many of the things we had stored against the wall adjacent to the laundry room sat wet over a weekend and were ruined. One morning while taking a shower, a one foot section of the tile in our shower caved in. It took almost 3 weeks for maintenance to come in and fix it. The safety of the general area was questionable at best. Many nights I did not feel safe walking from my car to the building alone. The people who lived in the building were trash, to put it nicely. On many mornings we'd leave the apartment to discover dog poop in the hallway, or that someone had let the flea infested stray cat into the building. Sometimes, I felt like I was living in a shelter. There are much better places to live.
