Conditions at The Crescent are sub-par for a building that advertises that they are "like a boutique hotel". Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place, but you don't get what you pay for.

Where is the "on site" social director (that we were told existed and that WE ARE PAYING FOR)' Where is the 24 hour security' Why don't we have a 24 hour concierge (like other less expensive places)' Why does the pool close at 7pm'

I had to beg to get clean towels in the gym. Beg to get the toner replaced in the laser printer. The bicycles (that they advertise for use by the residents) were stolen and NEVER REPLACED. The garage was broke into a few weeks ago.

Things like this wouldn't bother me if I were paying a lot less, but I pay over $3200/month. I definately do NOT get first class service and amenities at The Crescent.

What you fail to realize is that those promises you speak of where made buy the prior owners who knew full well that they intended on selling the property and didn't care whether the new owners were going to uphold the promises made. This is a great community, and while there are some things they can improve upon, they are doing the best they can to get things done and deal with uncompassionate and at times down right ignorant residents. Give them a break!! If you can't stand living there so much MOVE!

That's EXACTLY what I plan on doing. Before I signed a lease, I loved the "promise" of The Crescent, but as you mentioned the new management has NOT lived up to the promise. Beleive me, I fully intend to move out if I only could. Even though The Crescent is "cheating" me out of things I was promised, I still have a 12 month lease!

WHO pays $3200 a month in rent in MARYLAND??!!! Can we all keep in mind that even though it's a city, it's friggin Maryland??? It's your own fault for being such a moron and paying so much for rent.

Dude you should have bought a condo for $3200/month! To be honest, I would not pay $3200 even if the managers were not a bunch of lying scheisters. I mean, social director? You need a social director in Fells Point? As for the bicycles - you can buy a nice one for $500 and live in a $2000/mo apartment. The security is the only thing I think they need to cough up - the garage being burglarized is inexcusable.

I think the person who orginally wrote this post did eventually move out-after, of course, a HUGE debacle with the leasing office-i hear what you are saying about buying a condo, but alot of the people that live here (such as in our situation) are new to the city, maybe even to the state, and were/are in situations where they needed to find a place QUICK- it takes time to buy in a city like this where every other street is run by a gang and housing prices keep dropping, thereby giving you more and more options to look at-addtionally, whomever wrote the post stating "who pays 3200 in rent in MARYLAND" is obviously a moron from Garrett County or something - if you go to Bethesda, Chevy Chase, etc you will probably pay MORE then $3200!!! The bottom line is that while yes, the rent here is a morgage, the leasing office folks and the management need to stop the false advertising.

Social director? What is this, summer camp? Towels in the gym? Doggie clean up bags? Is it that hard to supply your own? You need the leasing office to let you use a bicycle? Give me a break. The Crescent is a lot of glitz and glamour, but the bottom line is that it's in a great location, the apartments are clean and new construction, and there's a gym and a free coffee machine. If your expectations are to be pampered, perhaps you should hire a butler.

It is my understanding that, once taxes are paid a person has the right to spend his/her money anyway they want. If I want to spend $3000 on rent so be it. The problem witht the Crescent is what was represented and is still being represented is not being delivered. When we moved there we were welcomed by someone that reminded me of Julie from the Loveboat. All these great things were represented that simply were not provided. It is all about not living up to the expectations, I work hard, make money and am willing to spend some of that money on what I feel will enrich my life. The Crescent did not come close to meeting my expectations. Actually a social director, the feeling of summer camp, doggie bags were represented. Just like the small extra attention you get when you go to a high end restaurnt you expect those things.

the cresent leasing office lets start with courtney lynn is a skanlist devis hoe , that ----ed everone in the building male n female . who was almost beat up numerous times for her mouth she does not know how 2 talk 2 anyone . who is not even cute n looks like an extra in the movie ratatoue, will go around n back stab n talk about anybody 2 suit her needs 2 get ahead in life even sleeping with an r&b star n a ravens player whos babymother all most beat her down . whos a true ----- who has plotted 2 get rid of everyone who she thought was a threath 2 her . courtney u need jesus, i am so glad nicole n andra is no longer there n 1 day u will truely get what u deserve amen .
