Every aspect of this property is awful. The staff is rude and not helpful and most act like they are better than the residents who can actually afford to live here. The maintenance guys are a joke and make small problems worse. The hallways are very hot in the summer because they are not air conditioned (explained to me by the maintenance manager, Dan) and of course opposite in the winter. There is about an inch gap at the bottom of all the doors to pull air conditioning into the halls which is not effective and not to mention drives up electricity bills. Noise is also a problem. There are dogs barking, babies crying, and drunk people yelling most of the time. I feel sorry for those who live near the elevator, stairs, and trash chute. The gym is dirty and unsanitary. I have been in there when the janitor just sprinkles carpet powder and vacuums it up. There is often dog urine in the elevators. Parking is a huge problem. One will pay between $100-150 a month and there is always a problem finding parking at night. Also, there is absolutely no visitor parking. Be aware that the fire alarm goes off frequently. Several times we were required to leave the building in the middle of the night and never given explanations as to why. There is very little grassy areas around the building resulting in a lot of dog poo on the sidewalks and grass. The exterior lights on the building frequently are not working which makes it unsafe and very dark at night. My lease is coming up and I have researched some equivalent properties in this general area including Eden Apts, Spinnaker Bay, and the Domain at Brewer Hill (same builder as the Crescent but different management company) just to mention a few... All I can say is do your research because you should never dread going "home".
