It's Ok

Well my 3 years of living here is finally coming to an end. As a young professional, I fell in love with this complex while candidly driving by Loch Raven Blvd. I just had to sign a lease even before the renovations were complete. I thought that the rent was somewhat expensive initially, but decided to move in anyway!!!

Its a very clean and quiet area to live. You are not really bothered by your neigbors, and the management staff is ok. Parking can be somewhat difficult at times, especially when returning home at night.

It appears to be a good deal for your money, but in comparison to other places I lived, The Metropolitation does not offer that much more that average places. Yes there is security and gated community access, but other places offer that too! Plus security is usually asleep when I get home! Although I am yet to figure out how heat and air is separated from electricity, tennants are still responsible for the heat and air portion of the utility bill. In my opinion, for considering the cost of living here, it would have been great for these utilities to be included as well. I would wouldnt really mind if the rent was up to $100 more if all utilities were included. There is also no washer and dryer in the individual unit which causes a gross inconvenience to do laundry. The laundry room in my building are usually always being used or has clothes left in them overnight.

With the rate increase for next year's rent, I realized that it was time to move....as paying this exhorbitant increase, was simpy throwing money out the window. I promised myself when I moved in that I would not move again until I bought a house. I have been house shopping for a while, but just recently got the nudge that I needed. In directly, I must thank the staff of the Metropolitian. I will be moving into my first home soon and can't wait.

Word of advise..........shop around a little before you sign the lease. There are plenty other places out here that offers more for the same money you will be paying here!!
