I have lived at Twin Ridge Apartments for close to a year now and am opting out of my lease early for a fee (months rent). It has truly been one of the most horrific renting experiences I have ever had. The first major problem is how inadequate the parking is. If I came home past 6pm I d often have to park a hundred yards or longer from the building entrance. On top of that, the area is very poorly managed and show their age very poorly.
The age shows even more when you go inside the apartments. We had a top level two bedroom with cathedral ceilings. On the cathedral ceiling posts you could see cracking and large paint chips. All of our walls were wavy and extremely poorly painted. The worst part about our apartment' Everything fell apart. Our dishwasher broke twice, the master bath would consistently leak water from the bottom (problem never resolved) the microwave blew out, the closet doors were so bent they would hardly close, ALL the drains were so badly clogged you couldn t leave water running too long (Drano had no effect).
But the cherry on our horrible experience was the Air Conditioning. Twin Ridge puts a notice out when you move in stating your AC will overheat if you set it anything lower than 10 degrees than the outside temp. Meaning if it s 90 degrees outside your AC unit will not be able to produce air at any temp under 80. You can imagine how hot it gets in the summer in your apartment. On top of that the AC unit would repeatedly over heat and turn off for hours on end making the situation even worse.
DO NOT and I mean DO NOT move here. They may be large apartments for what you re paying but remember you get what you pay for.
