We have 3rd floor 2 bedroom w cathedral ceilings and uncovered celestory windows that bring d in the afternoon sun. The AC has never worked. By June, it was 85 to 105 degrees in the apartment and that's with the AC purportedly working. Call after call would be answered by a note indicating that the AC had been fixed. But it had never been fixed and it had never worked.
When I told management that I intended to buy a window unit for my bedroom, they told me it was forbidden by the lease. I got a noisy portsable unit that wasn't noticible from the exterior. I paid one of the apartment workers to bring the unit up and install it. Since it was over 95 degrees, he took a look at the AC using some kind of electronic monitoring equipment and declared the compressor dead. That was last Monday. On Tuesday I noticed that all of the insulation and casing for the central AC unit was stuffed on the balcony. It is now a week later, it is still 95 degrees and the AC stuff is still on the balcony. Nothing has been done. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

To anyone reading this thinking "Yeah, right." It's true. AFTER you sign your lease and move in, you receive in your move-in packet, cleverly stuffed in the middle of all this useless paper, a packet of general info about Twin Ridge. They issue you a disclaimer about their AC units are only designed to cool your apartment 10-15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. Then they give you a specific example of a 90-100F day and only getting 80-90F in your apartment. Sure, now you tell me after I have signed a lease. Never would've signed if I had known this was the AC standard for this dump.
