I loved it here!

I only lived here for a couple of months, but I loved it and didn't want to leave. The 1BR/den was beautiful and spacious. I liked it better than the 2BR floorplan. The master br was huge and the den/bedroom was a good size too. We had vaulted ceilings, new carpet that was very nice, w/d in the apt, a storage room, balcony, nice kitchen, pantry off the dining room, and large closets. I have never lived in an apartment this wonderful and I have lived in many apartments. I always felt safe and proud to live here. My next door neighbor was so sweet and helpful. I met her when I locked myself out of the apartment. She helped me contact the maintenance guy to get back in. She even lent me money to pay the guy to let me in. I was so embarrassed, but grateful to have such a friendly neighbor. The people below me were not so friendly. They were the worst part about living there. They would pound on my door and demand i stop walking around my apartment or stop washing clothes at night or tell my guests to stop walking around. I guess the insulation between my floor and their ceiling was very poor. They really got me very upset. I tiptoed around most of the time i lived there, in hope they would leave me alone. I lived on the 3rd floor and never heard anything from other apartments. The building I was in had settled some so we had some trouble with the screen door fitting and got a new one. i got new blinds too when the old ones jammed. The maintenance guys always came and fixed things when asked. My only complaints are that you have to pay extra if you plan to use the pool and fitness room. The parking was difficult if you wanted a spot right out front. The door to each building locks if properly shut, but mine rarely was. I never felt unsafe though. I loved how close this place was to the new library and all the shops and restaurants. It is a quick drive to the EPG too. I looked at other complexes, but nothing even compared. The price is high though. I paid $50 more for a six month lease. I had no trouble leaving early when my husband got orders to move and got all my deposit back. Overall, I highly reccomend this place. If I ever move back to the area I will return to Calvert's Walk.
