I am in the military and I moved in here in May of 2006, and I am moving out in May of 2007. It has been by far the worst place that I have ever lived. We had better maintenance response while I was deployed to Iraq. Further more this winter they did not salt the sidewalks unless it snowed during the business day, and don t let it snow on the weekend or you would not see them until Monday. It was so bad that my 6 year old daughter slipped and fell down the stairs one night, and I called there corporate office about it and still nothing happened. The next issue is that when I moved in I was told that I could keep my 5X8 utility trailer on the ground, but after I was locked in with the lease they told me that I had to move it within 24 hours. I then brought it back 2 weeks ago to start moving stuff back and forth between my house and storage shed they had it towed from the lot, and didn t even inform me. The trailer cost me around 900.00 to buy it new, but it cost 350.00 to get it back from this. Over all bad management, and bad maintenance, and a bad year of hell. If you still won t to give it a try than make sure you get everything in writing, because they are not people of there word.

It is not a courtesy - it is something that is expected - ground maintenance is in the lease. Are you saying it would then be accpetable for the grass to be 5 feet tall?

Grounds management is not a courtesy, that is included in the rent. That is one of the beauties of renting. If you rent an apartment, maintenance is included - part of that maintenance includes the grounds. Should one "pitch in" and fix the stove if it does not work or re-surface the parking lot. That is a ridiculous comment.

The responser who works in property management must work at this complex or one of the other dumps I read about on this site. Snow removal is not the resident's responsibility - sidewalks, parking lots, and especially outdoor stairs need to be maintained by staff. What, did you expect this miliary dude to get a shovel and clean the whole complex himself???

I am the person who wrote the first comment about the snow removal and I work in property management...What I was reading is hilariuos..read the originals guys complaint and youll get what I'm saying...
..."Further more this winter they did not salt the sidewalks unless it snowed during the business day, and don t let it snow on the weekend or you would not see them until Monday..."
UNLESS IT SNOWED DURING THE BUSINESS DAY was the key factor. It WAS shoveled and salted, but lord forbid it snows on a Sunday night and you want someone to come BEFORE 7AM on a Monday to do it. Thats insane. Personal safety means the staff needs to be safe too, not to kill ourselves to protect your precious butt from falling on the ice. I work in a property in White Marsh and I would NEVER tell one of my maint men to drive in the ice on a Sunday night just to salt. They get there at 7am, so you have to wait.
So, if you're NOT satisfied that we salt and shovel M-F 7AM-6PM and Sat& Sun 10am-4pm, then DO IT YOURSELF and "pitch in".
